It's no secret that we are gaga for Ninja Gaiden II. In the event that it is a secret, we can assure you that it will not remain so for long. Remember the many calls for us to cease the constant coverage of Halo 3 / Gears of War / etc? You ain't seen nothing yet. We shall cover Ninja Gaiden II for all it is worth and more. With that little tidbit out of the way, on to the purpose of this post: to fill your eyeballs with four minutes of gory ninja goodness. Some of the footage has been seen before, but plenty of the video is new, and all of it is scrumptious. In particular, we like watching one of Ryu's maimed opponents priming a grenade in an attempt to take the super ninja with him. The video also features Ryu's trademark Izuna Drop -- think spinning piledriver on steroids -- which makes us happy fanboys. Check out the video after the break.

I don't care. Am I missing something? I'm new to Xbox and haven't played a Ninja Gaiden game before, but that looked like boring hack and slash to me. Seems like Devil May Cry, but with more ninjas and blood.

Well, having played Ninja Gaiden, I know first hand how good of a game it was. If i saw this video having never played ninja gaiden, i'd be on the same boat as you, but it was a damn good game, and i'm pretty sure this will be a damn good game too.

I understand how u feel..but the guy who was playing made it look easy cuz he was pretty good...Don't get it twisted...Devil May Cry is no where near as difficult as NG...You'll see when it comes out...lol

Admittedly at this stage it looks simplistic and uninspired, but the Xbox versions were really damn good and I shall be remaining optimistic. It's a while before it comes out yet.

@4 Ninja Gaiden 1 required precise timing and careful attention to your surroundings and enemies in order to become masterful at it. It's not simple hack and slash at all. It might look simple in the trailer but some of those moves the player was pulling off were most likely high-level combos and very good essence use. It's super fast, really tough, and very very demanding ... especially at harder difficulties. You just don't see it because you've never played the game. Totally understandable.
I played Ninja Gaiden to death. I mastered the game. It was one of the most intense, stressful, and satisfying experiences I've ever had in a game. I simply can't wait to do the same thing with Ninja Gaiden 2.

Noone can describe why Ninja Gaiden is so great. You have to go out and play it for yourself. I will say that it destroys Devil May Cry, in both action and visuals (The original/black/sigma that is)
It's one of those games where you are either a hardcore gamer, or you aren't. Half of everyone that has played it, say that it's too hard for them. Half think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread (since they can actually succeed at it).
Definitely give it a try if you haven't. I can't freaking wait for Ninja Gaiden II.

The camera system gave me a headache watching it. Especially in the room with the spider looking guy.... with that said, i know its going to be a good game, im not even sweating it.
