I agree. Assassin's Creed didn't live up to all the hype. At least people are still playing Halo 3 -- which can't be said for Assassin's Creed or BioShock.

No, Assassin's Creed would be worthy of Over-Hyped, not Overrated. Halo3 is not worthy of half the blind review scores it has received, whereas many reviews for Assassin's Creed aren't very good at all.

just finished Bioshock on the weekend. I was pretty impressed... the ending was lackluster... but once you get all the powers. man I didn't want the game to end.
I haven't had enough time to give Mass Effect a run through.
I managed to play Rock Band with a bunch of friends, and I think that game is awesome... once my friends had some courage to use the microphone, hilarity ensued.

The part about Bioshock that kills it for me are the stupid puzzles you have to solve to "hack" things. It wouldn't bother me so much if they didn't make hacking certain things almost required if you don't want to be fried by security bots. I've stopped playing until I'm done playing other games. Not GOTY for me.

Agreed, if these people would take the time to play it and realize how much it has to offer then maybe they wouldn't be bashing the hell out of it. Anyhow, Bioshock got reallllllllll boring and repetitive, and in no way should win game of the year especially with little to no replay value or multiplayer.
