[Update: The Xbox.com offer page has mysteriously disappeared, although Bungie.net has now listed some more detailed information. Apparently, the Xbox 360 must be purchased between November 21 and December 21. Hopefully the page will be back up soon.]
Hey. You there. Bought your Xbox 360 and Halo 3 yet? No? Then do we have a deal for you. Microsoft is now offering a free copy of Halo 3 to gamers who purchase an Xbox 360 by December 21. Pay attention though because this isn't a bundle and you'll have to take a few extra steps to snag your copy of Halo 3. According to the offer page, you must:
- Buy an Xbox 360 by December 21.
- Connect to Xbox LIVE.
- Register at this link with the code XBX7777, the serial number of your new Xbox 360, and a valid mailing address.
It occurred to us after publishing this that we should probably mention that this promotion is for the United States only.
[Thanks, polar]

Crap, sorry about the double post that had nothing to do with this Thread. My password manager was acting up.
Anyway, I just purchased a Xbox 360 system in early Oct. Does anyone know how MS confirms you purchased your system after Nov 21st? Also, do they require a Gold Account or will Silver be fine?

well according to 360FB, the rules state "by an xbox 360 by december 21" - It however doesn't mention the minimum for this date. For instance, i bought my 360 on day of launch, and do I have technically bought it before december 21 :) Would this count? I can't find the terms and conditions to see if it doesn't

I don't think the deal is real...hence why it is pulled. Look for new information to come out soon that clarifies the offer.

I bet it was pulled, so that it can reappear on the 21st. Confusing to have the page up prior to then, as I'm sure some people were told "hey, buy a 360, I just say an offer saying you get Halo3 free", who are going to be disappointed now.

Looks like the Bungie.net page has also been pulled. I clicked it a few times and I got an error every time.
