Xbox 360 Fanboy

I find them pretty often on clearance end caps at Target in the electronics section. I consider it mostly for the arcade games (although I have a couple of those), but always wind up stopping myself.

I picked up Bionicle Heroes at a Lego Outlet store in Virginia for $10. Two times through the game, 1000 Gamer points! I also saw The Godfather at Target for $20, and the joystick for $20. Almost picked it up, but I already have 2 of the 3 games, and even at $20, I'd rather put that towards the $60 Hori controller. I also picked up Wartech for $10 at Gamestop a few weeks ago. My sons may get some fun out of it, and maybe I can get a few gamer points.

Got it for $5 with one of my reward zone certificates.

Not that great of a joystick, actually, but it was hard to pass up for $5. And Astropop isn't a bad game at all.

Found an open box at the Rogers, Ar BB and got the store manager to mark it down to $5. Also picked up a Sex Pistols faceplate for my GH3 Les Paul for a penny.

Too bad I think Time pilot is a pile of garbage and I already have astropop.

Hey, are the games that come with it redemption codes for the marketplace or what?
If so, I could always throw astro pop and timepilot out as a gift.

Just picked mine up for $9.99. I don't have any of the three games, so even if the stick is garbage, I figure it's still an okay deal.
They're redemption codes for the three games that are included in the box, by the way...

At my Best Buy, the price on the rack said $17.99, but it rang up at $9.99. Not sure how much I'll use it, but still a pretty good deal.

I paid $20 at target a couple of months ago. I'd wanted 1 of these to see if the dpad was any better than the regular controller's (which generally sucks for most arcade games).

I paid the FULL original list price of $60 back when it first came out, and while it isn't bad I haven't played Frogger or anything lately.

What I could have used was better Windows XP drivers so the spinner could have worked in MAME. I still have it on my agenda to locate joystick driver source and do what I need to do to make it work, but I notice that source code for drivers seems to be kept out of public view...

Interesting, can anybody tell me if old school XBLA games are more playable with this thing? Some old arcade games are pretty terrible with the standard 360 controller (such as Paperboy)

"More playable" is hard to say. I found myself turning the controller so the spinner was top right for Astropop but then the buttons weren't 'right' anymore and I didn't relearn their position easily. If they'd asked before making this, I'd have told them to put the buttons on a wheel so they could be reoriented when the player decided to change from the standard way of holding it. Maybe that way the firesale wouldn't have started yet...

I bought one of these for $9.99 from my Best Buy today, I'm going to try and track down another one so I can use it to try and make a custom 360 arcade stick. For $10 I can't feel bad if I completely destroy the thing.
