North America, we've got one question for you ... are you ready for some soccer? We ask, because this morning the
previously released to other parts of the world
Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 demo just became available to North American Xbox Live members. We suspect this 1.18GB demo to be the same as the one that was released to Europe last month, which we remember includes lots of soccer gameplay, soccer scoring and soccer running. It's what we in the business call a "soccer game". So North America, now you're just as important as Europe, because you have the
PES 2008 demo ... albeit just a bit late.

Soccer should stay away from the US. We don't want it (save for the one soccer weeny that everyone knows from when they were in highschool).
The only soccer I'm willing to digest is Megaman Soccer for the SNES

Blu-Ray leads, if you count PS3's, but for standalone players, HD-DVD isn't very far behind if at all. Both formats have been failures thus far, with no clear winner. A combination of Heroes, Transformers, and 5 free HD-DVD has me sold. The total value of the 5 movies, plus King Kong, Plus Heroes, basically makes the 170 dollar player a 340 dollar value.
Could care less which format wins, but for an assload of free stuff, I am sold.

It's Opera's fault. Worst browser ever. And it's not fail x3, it's fail x2, since the first post was a fail, then the post explaining the fail wasn't a fail and was deliberate, and then the last post was a fail, bringing the total to x2.
Atleast keep proper fail totals, yeesh

Thank you Mr. Spokesperson for the United States. But I agree, we should keep FOOTBALL away from the U.S - you'll only introduce silly noises and oversized foam fingers. I'm sure it's not that you don't want it - more like... you can't do it.

I find it funny that we are the last country to get this demo...yet it has been named with our stupid convention of calling the game Soccer..where it is a dirivation of Football in every other country in the world.
Oh yeah..and most people in the US don't give a care about soccer/football/futbol/fuSSball...etc

soccer is an amazing sport. the US just isn't very good at it. if it gets popular here then the US has the chances to become amazing and one day win the world cup. as for club soccer, england and italia are the top in the world in my opinion

I get that we should probably call it football, but it's not like the word "soccer" was invented in the US. It's short for "Association Football," which is in fact the true, official name of soccer/football/futbol/"that game where you can't use your hands except for the dude in front of the goal and why is he wearing the other team's color?".
Aaaaaaaaand finally, what precisely is the point of bashing soccer here? It's not like I troll every post about Tiger Woods PGA tour to announce how stupid I think golf is. Grow up.

Banana Boat, you're the biggest douche on the planet. Speak for yourself next time, dick. Man, not only did you piss me off and everyone else who loves "soccer", you made it worse by being a complete idiot...posting about the wrong story, blaming it on your browser, and continuing to pollute this post with your stupidity.
Oh and if we want to keep proper count, it's fail x5 for everything you posted on here.

Demo is fantastic. Blows Fifa '08 away in game play. Fifa may look a little better, but it's the game play that matters.
Bottom Line:
Fifa 08' - is for people who watch footy
PES 08' - is for people who play football (soccer)
I've lived all over the States and have met and know many american 'soccer' players and supporters who are as passionate about the sport as they are for their baseball team. Support for the game may be small compared to 'football', baseball, basketball etc. but it is passionate and very real.

It's funny how people come in here just to comment "soccer sucks". There are 1000 other posts, and you want to come in here just to give us your stupid, irrelevant opinion. It's obvious that soccer is the best, and most popular sport in the world. I disagree with the US national team not being any good. I think they are ARE a world-class team now.
In any case, all those morons that have nothing good to say about soccer, go to a Madden forum and talk about tight ends.
