Sessler says quit hating on Halo 3 already
G4's outspoken and somewhat controversial Adam Sessler is standing on his Sessler Soapbox again, this time defending Halo 3 against all the haters. And yes we were just as surprised as you, but it's fact ... there are Halo 3 haters out there. What a crazy world we live in.
Anyhoo, per the video embedded above, Sessler talks about the greatness that is Halo 3, why it is so damn fun and why the haters of the world should pretty much much quit their hating ways and lay off Halo 3 because of its popularity. And to be fair, he even says that it isn't the best game out there or even game of the year caliber (which we whole-heartily dispute), but it's a great gaming experience no matter how you cut it. So, if you know someone or are one who hates on Halo 3 for no particular reason other than your sad, jealous rage then take Adam Sessler's advice and shove your ... well, we'll let you watch the video for yourself. More gravy please!

Good god, this guy needs his head removed from his own posterior. I'll stick with Zero Punctuation's Halo 3 review, which is both scathingly accurate and hilarious.

Sessler finally said something worth listning to. Other then X-Play being a lame show, at least he finally said what needed to be said. As far as Kaygeebee is concerned, WTF were you expecting buddy? If Bungie were to change anything in the game at all, people would call them out for not sticking to there guns or making the game to different. I for one thought the story was one of the BEST I have ever played through, the challenge is top notch as far as FPS games go. Halo 3 is damn near perfect IMO

From what i've found, the people that don't like halo 3.. pretty much suck at it! an like gears of war instead which they r better at.
Its by far the best multiplayer out there, and regarding the campaign, yes it is a little short but i normally play through a campaign once and don't want to do it again, i'm on like my third time now, and its great and VERY difficult if you do it on legendary
Want to talk about an overrated game?... Bioshock is the one

I wouldn't consider myself a hater, but I don't understand the fascination. I've played through all three halo games, and spent a bit of time online with 2 and 3. I have a ton of respect for what the first one did for console FPS games. It was the first one to get the controls right.
However, as time went on I found that better games came out. I thought the Timesplitter series has always stayed one step ahead of Halo in both single and multiplayer. Also, after spending a significant time playing Warhawk online (split screen with my wife), then playing Halo 3, I found that there are some significant balance issues with Halo. Frequently the winner of a battle would essentially be decided simply by who had the best weapon, and I found it difficult to find a way to make up for my underpowered weapon using strategy.
I know that those people that love Halo hate hearing about how other people hate it, and for that I apologize. However, please remember that there are people who hate hearing unending praise for a game that they feel is only mediocre.

I'll admit the ending of the story left me feeling very unsatasfied, and yes I watched the clip after the credits.
But overall it's pretty fun...haven't played in a bit though, team fortress 2 is a lot of fun :D

Halo 3 is by far the greatest game ever made in my opinion. I really don't understand the bitching about the graphics, it is easily one of the most beautiful games out there. It just shows how people bitch about things without actually taking the time to play it and enjoy it.

I think it's hard to call Halo 3 GOTY material when there's a little title called Bioshock out there. Still, even as someone who's not a Halo fan (I never saw anything special in the games that hadn't been done better on the PC before), I never understood the hate for it. Crazy, blinding hate that honestly just confuses me. They're good games. Period. I guess it's just backlash from all of the attention it garners.

Bioshock has no replay value, there is no way it should be GOTY material if Halo 3 isn't, considering Halo 3 can provide years and years of entertainment (and will) while Bioshock can provide only hours of entertainment.
Also, I found Bioshock boring/repetitive as hell, killing the same people over and over again.

Teabagger, please change your name to "douchebag". Halo 3 may not get Game of the Year but it's still a great game...sales show it and the number of people still online playing it proves it. If it was as bad of a game as you claim it to be, the number of people online would have dropped substantially. Gears is definitely a great game as well but doesn't touch Halo 3 in the sheer amount of content and features.
I found nothing wrong with the graphics in Halo 3 and thought that the HDR lighting and textures were very well done. The campaign was a blast, especially with 4 player co-op on Legendary. It seems to me that you had impossible expectations for this game and that you would have criticized Halo 3 just because of it's popularity.

Wow, really mature ending there Sessler. This dude and the annoying chick that shows up next to him on X-Play are both bought-and-sold Microsoft employees. Neither one would ever say one bad word about Halo 3 and their stupid rating system probably gave it 6 stars.

For what it's worth (and I could care less about Adam Sessler given he's incredibly annoying), I've had my 360 about 1 year and never owned previous xbox. I never played Halo 2 and I own basically every good game that is out for 360 (including big guns Gears of War and Bioshock).
My opinion is that Halo 3 is greatest game I have ever played in terms of both Campaign and multiplayer experience. Personally, my previous #1 was Half Life 2 (and accompanying MP games).
H3 looks absolutely beautiful and the different environments/battle types that pop up throughout campaign creates one of the most engaging campaign experiences i've ever had. My one issue was that it was a little short. But at the same time, it's the only game i've ever played through the campaign almost 3 times in the first 2 weeks. Multiplayer is hands down best MP game I've ever played and i've played Gears, Call of Duty series, Battlefield 2 on PC was a fav, etc, etc.
So that's opinion from someone who's never played Halo before, played most xbox360 games and a few great PC ones. GOTY to me. Have a good weekend.

Watch Sesslers mouth while other people speak. See it move around and frown, its like an eldery persons. This ugly f**ker and his annoying voice do not belong on tv. He should just go write for a magazine. As for Halo 3 every mission seems like a rehash of prior Halo games. Co-op is fun, but it like dual wielding was not created by Halo. People like Halo because it was a good and playable fps. I would argue that if the series had only ever been released on pc it would have never been remembered. Multi player is why it thrives. I dont need that ugly shit sessler to get on a soap box and broadcast a popular opinion.

Josh, I'd be able to take you a little more seriously if you're opening gambit wasn't an insult, you then laughably try to say that it's a great game because it sells well.
Games Sales have never had any correlation to the quality of the game. Kids rush out and buy Harry Potter, so it sits pretty at the top of the charts. Is it the best game in the chart..? My hairy hoop it is.
Same for Halo 3. Thousands of people had pre-ordered it, simply as it's the next Halo installment. Could be complete pigswill, but you've already bought it.
I'm not complaining about it due to it's popularity, just due to it's wasted potential and dissapointing gameplay.

I'm still very much a noob to the whole Halo series. I decided to go back and start from the beginning and run through them all in order at once. It's a bit much. I'm pretty sick of the damn thing already. That said, even at it's worst when it feels like total tedious stupid work getting through check points, it does have a tendency to have something fun coming up right around the corner. This keeps me going, but I know by the time I'm done with Halo 3 I'm going to say goodbye to Master Chief and thank him for all his hard work and move the fuck on to other games. I just can't take much more of it. I share a projector with two roommates who like to watch DVDs so I get about an hour a day on the Xbox and it kills me that I have to give it all to fucking Halo just to get this thing over with. My Viva Pinata garden is turning "Foreclosure Brown". My Oblivion character is sitting around waiting for me, getting all pissy and bored. My Blazers team has already given up on the idea of finishing the season before next season starts. And Master Chief meanwhile thinks we're best fucking friends. Well, we ain't, dude. It's love/hate. And with the Arbiter, it's hate/hate.

I really don't see how someone could play halo MP "for years". you can't even jump right into the game type you wanna play fercrissakes. hell you can't even talk to your team without taking your thumb off the left stick, thus not moving, thus getting your ass shot off.

I'm really sick of all the poepl hating on Halo to be cool.90% of all criticism of Halo could be easily leveled at any popular franchise.
