And the mighty wheel just keeps on turning. Matt Cassamassina of IGN, in his age old quest to prove to the world that a DS version of Halo was once in the cards, has posted video of the game in action. Remember now, Bungie has directly denied that a Bungie sanctioned Halo DS ever existed. Cassamassina insists that the version shown in the video was not made by a "garage developer" and that it had a major publisher behind it at one point. He elaborates that the project was canceled for reasons he cannot discuss. Of course, Bungie themselves admitted that prototypes were likely made by outside companies in order to pitch the idea, and it's still possible that we're seeing such a thing here. Our only question is why now? Why are these videos just now surfacing? If the proof has been available for this long, we wonder what caused the delay. We're sure all you're really interested in are the videos though. Check 'em out after the break.

guys... this project was canceled so Kiddecibel, it wasn't a final build (multiplayer only had one map) so if someone thinks its not real because of the music, let me remind you that halo 3 had one brute yell "He was my lover" if his partner died in the E3 2007 Demo. Lots of things are edited before the final game release. That looked like a cool pre-aplha.

Hey Ian, the game changes before the final release. The halo 3 beta looks different then the retail game. That's like saying that the beta was a fake. Things can get changed. Besides, the game was canned so that might have been a prototype to show microsoft or bungie.

Rumer has it that the game was canceled for development for the DS because well Microsoft was and is still making a hand held video game system. This game will be the premiere game that launches the new Microsoft system.
I'm really surprised no one has mentioned this connection yet.

Is a Goldenye rouge agent Mod. This video is 100% fake. You can buy this game right now for the DS. Just go pick up goldeneye rouge agent. You just need to get the mod now for the halo theme. And that music is not a part of multiplayer.
