It's time for the age old Capcom vs. SNK debate to begin anew, because Fatal Fury Special is now available on Xbox Live Arcade. Alongside the classic fighter is Cyberball 2072 which brings Xbox 360 gamers the palpable mix of robots and football. Ooh, and explosions too, can't forget explosions. Both games are available for the tantalizing price of 400 Microsoft Points. So, now that you've had a taste of both, which is it going to be fanboys, Street Fighter or Fatal Fury? We can tell you right now that there is one thing Fatal Fury has that Street Fighter doesn't: the lovely Mai Shiranui. Your move, Street Fighter.

Hey I like both, planned on getting one of them, and Fatal Fury's half the price of Street Fighter, so I say, Fatal Fury it is.

My brother and I dropped several pocket fulls of quarters in Cyberball machines when we were younger (and arcades existed) perfecting our robot pigskin skills. I'll most certainly check out the XBLA version, but need to see which incarnation this is before I drop points on it. There was one version I just didn't like nearly as much...

It is weird that it doesn't have those options, although it admittedly isn't very hurt by the smoothing. It looks a lot better than I anticipated, even if the animation is dated.
I do like the hint option though. If you turn it on, the game moves to the left a bit and it will display a list of moves for your character.

Though I'm a big Fatal Fury fan, I have to say as an actual fighter I'll take Chun Li (heck, Cammy even!) over Mai any day of the week.

Usually, sports games are totally lost on me. But Cyberball actually turned out to be fun. Coming from me, that is REALLY saying something.

SF has already retaliated, and Chun-Li has throughly air-juggled Mai with her ever-impressive skills below the waist. Your turn, Fury.
