As mentioned before, Konami needs to recoup the development costs for this game. The best way to do so is to go multiplatform.

Besides, even if this title doesn't go on 360, we still have plenty of games to play.

I dont care one way or the other about the game but I love that it's coming to XBOX 360 at the expense of another lost exclusive to PS3.

silent hill 5 > MGS4 to some people? hah

anyways, how would they port it, so much about the game has already been announced to use the motion sensor... I am still doubting it.

and i find it funny that most people dont even care about this great game, they just want sony to lose an exclusive (even when MGS2 was already on xbox before and nobody cared about it, so technically the MGS series hasnt been exclusive to sony).

i really love this series and was considering getting a ps3 just for this game and maybe others but now, i am considering waiting and saving myself like $500 if this rumor is true. inshallah

Motion controls wouldn't hold it back from being ported.

MGS is a great series. Kojima is high caliber stuff.

Will MGS4 be a good game? You bet your ass?

Would I buy a PS3 just to play? Eh, maybe.

Would I buy it for the 360? In a second.

I honestly do not care if it comes to 360 or not, because MGS games have the worst replay value I probably evr seen. Yea tha games are fun and all but ill only beat the game once and never play it again.

The only reason i would want MGS4 come to 360 is because the PS3's only hope would probably be MGS 4 because none of their BIG games look good accept for Lair, adn if 360 also gets MGS 4 more people will most likely get it on 360 and the PS3 wil be screwed even more then they are rite now.

no replay value? are you kidding, kojima packs so many secrets and easter eggs its so much fun to play through the game multiple times to find alternate cutscenes, ways to beat bosses, escape sequences etc etc. i played MGS3 multiple times just to do the different ways to beat the end (the boss "the end", not the ending of the game) then not to mention getting secret items like stealth camo and what not makes the game hilarious messing with guards etc etc.

i personally dont care if it goes to 360, i own a PS3, and use to own a 360 (sold it, not many games i want, and dont tell me halo3 and mass effect, because 1 i dont like halo, and 2 i dont like RPGs, so dont call me a fanboy, i dont doubt that they are great games, they jsut arent for me) and i will get this game no matter what.

I haven't been blown away by the series since the first Metal Gear Solid, honestly, and even it was flawed with respect to gameplay. The big deal at the time was its cinema-like presentation and adult themes, but games since have done gameplay and cinema bigger and better. I probably wouldn't remember the first game so fondly if I weren't, I don't know, 15 years old at the time?

The big draw is the story, and unless that story is going to break the mold of the rest of the series and transcend B-movie writing, it's a rental for me.

I really don't care for stealth games so MGS4 is a non issue for me factor. in the tree hugging lib storylines of the 2 games I played, and its a never gonna care franchise for me.

I don't doubt that MGS4 will make it to the 360 but I had heard that sony had a 1 year exclusivity on it, who knows? I'm interested to know what kind of achievments they would have. Put C4 on an unsuspecting enemies back? Probably one for going through the whole game without an alarm.

I feel like these games are more of a movie than a game, but either way I've always had a bit of fun with them. I own both systems so I can't lose either way, but I think it's good for gamers in general when games are multiplatform because often times the producers create new content specifically for each program.

It's an ok game that has gameplay that is starting to get old along with the stupid, don't know where they got it story lines. With soo many stealth games that Xbox has, what kind of sales volume will it generate?

this is not a surprise since all the other metal gears for playstation and ps2 came out for the xbox and gamecube.

It was Ported to the Ps2 then he had to Appologize to the people that bought a GameCube just to Play his Game....

I don't think this is true. this same thing comes up everytime and gets shot down. why would kojima come out and say that its definetly not coming on the 360 and turn around less than 2 months later and change his mind. this is a PS3 seller Sony would definetly put down to keep this game exclusive money for the PS3. But you can keep the hope alive and refuse to by a PS3 so far the 360 doesnt have any stand out games that will sell this holiday season as good as Mass effect might be it wont sell 360's and Fable 2 and project Gotham definetly arent sellers, MOST likely if you never played the halo series why buy the third installment thats like selling the last chapter of harry potter by itself, so halo wont sell the 360 either except for people who still own an xbox. all the games the 360 has now are multiplatform games and devs are getting better at making PS3 games(compare madden when the 360 came out to PS3 madden) now do you get what i meen seems the PS3 cought up and now its about to pass so much for having better graphics on 360 multiplatform games. COD4 at E3 was ran mostly on the PS3 and some how that wont the best game at E3 for the 360 (backwords much). But you know whats gonna happen this october we are gonna be sitting around comparing GTAIV screen shots trying to pick out all the mistakes and missing leaves, cracks, and the smallest detail.

To be honest, I've never played a MGS game in my life... this one looks very promising though. If does end up hitting the 360, I wouldn't mind shelling out $60 for the title.

I'm also really excited for silent hill V maybe more so.
