We got looks at
Halo 3 (more on that soon) today, and during a walk through of the multiplayer "Save Film" feature a weapon was noted, and Sketch even went so far as to point it out specifically
just to say that he couldn't comment on it,
twice. The first time players saw this weapon was in Halo 2, in the
hands of Tartarus. Of course, we're talking about the Gravity Hammer. We only saw it in a character's hands when the camera was panning across the battle field, and again attached to a character's back. We can't wait to see it on hte battlefield.

@1: You can set up custom matches with as few weapons as you want. Problem solved.

To put it simply, even if there are a surplus of weapons you won't be seeing them all in every map so it won't matter to much.

@1 As I recall there were a few weapons in Halo 2 that were not playable in multiplayer.

I think the more the merrier. I think that's one Halo's strengths the balance of weapons, each Spartan can have their unique style of play with their choice of weapon.
Camper: Sniper and BR/Carbine
Bum rusher: Sword, Hammer, AR, Brute-shot, Shotgun
Whore: Rockets, Laser
Strategic: AR, BR/Carbine, Needler, Equipment, Nades
All of the above? That's why I'm so exciting about this game, there's soooo many different ways of playing whereas for example GOW is so linear. Shotgun that's all I use there. What you guys think?

Seriously... now that "E3" is here, we're getting at least 2 - 20 Halo 3 updates a day (as opposed to as LEAST 1 a day).
I sure as hell didn't buy my 360 for the Halo franchise. If a console is 1 GAME CENTRIC, maybe I should've bought a PS3 then because with a choice of Halo or Metal Gear... I think Metal Gear is a better produced game.
I'm not saying STOP Halo 3 coverage... just not post every time a *new* 3D rendered graphic is shown, "Frankie from Bungie" says *jump* or a twitch from Beta nostalgia jolts you in the scrotem.
If you MUST, then do what MajorNelson is doing and post a daily RUN DOWN of ALL HALO 3 into one post.
If you think I'm being over dramatic, read this blog through and RSS feader and notice how many HALO titles exist in one page.

D dogg, there's two for today, two for yesterday. That's not too much IMO...can you try not reading it maybe...if it bothers you so much? X3F are huge fans of Halo so I think it's cool they're checking all this stuff first-hand.

Anything that might help stop someone with a sword at short range is a welcome addition to the mix.

Toro, I doesn't bother me to SEE Halo 3 information, it's just that something inside me is saying: "If someone spends X amount of time on subject A, that will subtract from TOTAL amount of time for subject B, C, D, E..."
You're right, a majority of X3F's reader base probably are HUGE fans of Halo which is why it's covered so dearly...
Maybe a XHF (Xbox Halo Fanboy) blog should be made! Alright, just kidding... ... sorta.
