Today, Bethesda announced that this September they'll be releasing a new compilation of our beloved Oblivion ever so lengthily named The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition. The GotY edition doesn't have a price-tag attached to it yet, but we do know that it will include all the previously released downloadable content including Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine. And, we hope, it'll include the horse armor too.
So, this GotY edition surely won't woo Oblivion fans who've already purchased all the DLC content, but for those who have yet to experience all the RPG fun, this September looks to be the time to jump in.

Alot of people will be buying 360s in September due to Halo 3 and GTA4...So this would be there chance to get the game and not have to pay extra for the extra DLC.

Finally! I've held off buying *ANY* DLC until there was a package like this available. I'll hit this to sit beside my CE of the original.

Viridium, instead of buying some dlc once, you're going to buy Oblivion twice instead? Not sure how much sense that makes, unless you played it too much and your copy is as scratched as mine is... at least Oblivion was 200 hours of fun for me.

Yuccadude - it means that I actually control the content. I bought the "Chapter 2" pack for GRAW, at 1200 points. I'm long since done with GRAW, I've gotten rid of it, but I'm stuck with that stupid pack at 1200 points which is now utterly useless to me.
The CE I'll keep just because it's a CE. The GOTY edition, when finished, will get traded/sold.

hmm, so what will they do about the achievements? will ms let them keep all of the achievements from both the dlc and the game causing the gamerscore to exceed 1000 on a retail game? b/c technically this is just one game, so i think it would abide by the 1k gamerscore rule. maybe they can weasel out of it by offering just free downloads or convincing ms.

This showed up in GameStop's reserve book 4 or 5 days ago and on there it's listed having a $50 price tag, there was also a PC version for $40

The other day I went out and got the new bible, which now includes the dlc. Meaning, the horse armor, Knights of the nine, the spell tomes, everything but the Shivering Isles since that has it's own book. I don't want to say it, but I want to assume that everything in the bible under dlc should be included in the new game. Hopefully. I think.
