Speaking to Eurogamer, Guy Wilday, the head of SEGA Racing Studio, claimed that he'd like to see a pre-release demo of their upcoming title, SEGA Rally Revo, which is set to debut in September. Wilday noted that the team will "look to do potentially 360 and PS3 downloadable demos before release." Not exactly the most concrete of promises, but we'll take what we can get. Wilday further comments that the challenge of creating demos comes from balancing how much of the game one is allowed to play. As Wilday puts it, "We want people to get the experience of the game without giving the game away." Whatever the team decides to do, finishing touches are still being put on the game proper, so the demo will have to wait.
With two major racing titles -- Forza 2 and DiRT -- just released for the 360, are you considering SEGA Rally Revo?

I was actually going to wait on DIRT until this came out and make a decision later but the DIRT demo just blew me away. If this is good enough I'll probably pick it up eventually since Forza and DIRT have all but forced me into picking up the racing wheel.

I think this game has some huge competition in regards to Dirt just being released. one failing for me is that Rally Revo appears to have a 'closed track' i.e. from teh released videos it appears as though the tracks are strictly confined to a racing corridor with no opportunity to go 'beyond off-road', in Dirt you run the risk of goin off course and totalling your car, or even shaving precious sections off your segments.
for me personally, without trying revo, i would say its already been beaten by Dirt.
PS Revos mud effects etc are better

Due to the floaty cars and lackluster mutliplayer options, I decided not to get Dirt. I'm hopefully Sega can deliver a bit more realistic car handling and some great multiplayer options. I will hold out for a demo either way.
I'm still plenty busy with Forza anyway.

Wizardly, expect Revo to be even more floaty, Sega Rally is an arcade racing series.

I have to admit, the DiRT demo is pretty awesome. Like most, I ended up picking up Forza and that is taking up all my time, but I'm sure DiRT will get some rental time from me in the future. As for Sega Rally, I don't know. They're going to have to come up with something pretty spectacular to match Forza's and DiRTs offerings. Also, I wouldn't be surprised is PGR4 will be released this year as well, which may take even more potential racing fans away from Sega.

I've bought DIRT and I'm so glad I did because it's soo good. As for REVO, the gameplay footage I've seen has put me off very much because of the lacking graphics and no crash modelling.

I was excited about Dirt until I learned about the horrific online mode.
If Sega offers some good online multiplayer off-road fun, I'm in!

Hell yes! I've got Forza and love it... DiRT is pretty, but the gameplay was meh at best... couldn't bring myself to buy it. I'm hoping Sega's still got a little of the magic still bottled for Revo... I can't wait!
