Is there anything the ESRB can't do? Routinely revealing numerous Xbox Live Arcade games, the ratings board has now revealed that Tomb Raider: Anniversary is headed to the Xbox 360. In an interesting twist, the ESRB actually lists five different entries for the game, each with a different locale specified. In all, Peru, Lost City, Greece, Egypt, and Croft Manor are listed. This specificity leads us (and Joystiq) to conclude that Anniversary will be offered as downloadable content. Whether this is done via Tomb Raider: Legend or as independent downloadable episodes remains to be seen (if we had to guess, we'd say it'll be Legend DLC). Considering Anniversary costs $30 on other platforms, a $5-6 price tag for each episode on Xbox Live Marketplace would be reasonable (though we're not necessarily expecting it).
We really enjoyed Lara Croft's first outing on the 360, so here's hoping Eidos makes an official announcement soon.

I've been wondering why we hadn't heard anything about a version for the 360. This is awesome news and I'll buy it the day it comes out.

I'd bet 800 points for each episode, or, ideally: Croft's Manor for free (demo) then 800 for each level. MS has not really been known for cutting us breaks on DLC.

This would be great! I loved Legends and this would give me a reason to play it again.

Honestly, I hope more developers who don't want to release full games (or who can't get financial support) on the 360 follow suit. It just makes sense if you can't find a publisher to release it on Marketplace as a hard drive game.

Except on the PC. Isn't TR: Anniversary available for free from Gametap?

I heard the team said they weren't going to port this to next gen systems since it wasn't built from the ground up for them and they didn't want to dillute (further) the Tomb Raider franchise. Oh well, money's money and I'll probably check it out if it's a good deal.

TRA as downloadable would be pretty cool.
Although, wouldn't that take up quite a deal of space?

Just noticed - since when does Lara wield 1911 pistols? She used HK USP45s in Legends. Is that new for Anniversary?

You have to have a paid gametap account to get this game.
I wouldn't mind it, but I don't have legends, so I hope it is a standalone.
