
Gears of War's latest auto update has been released for a few days now and the overall consensus has been pretty positive. A new gametype, check. More balancing of weapons, check. Sticking to every damn wall and glitching still not fixed, check. Wait ... still sticking to walls and cheaters still able to glitch? Yes, it's true friends, the latest auto update is far from perfect not fixing all our glitching woes and even making one annoyance worse.
The list of new fixes in the latest Gears update specifically stated that they have "Adjusted Roadie Run: Reduced frequency of accidentally grabbing cover while running ". But in truth, most everyone we've talked to agrees that the opposite is occurring. Roadie running now feels like you have fourteen gallons of Elmer's glue smothered over your body causing you to stick to every wall and object when running. Not only that, but the weapon slide and other glitches are still occurring. True, Epic did fix the "traditional" ways of pulling off such glitches, but (literally) minutes after the update went live YouTube videos were posted showing new ways to pull off the same moves. Glitching fixed? Nope, newly found button combos activate all the same glitches.
Overall, the update was a success, but the roadie run sticking and new glitches surfacing just make us sour. We've tried to contact Epic to see if they are aware of the issues, if they're working on a mini patch, or if we just have to play this way for the next three months. But we've been unsuccessful in such a contact and haven't received a response from them. So, anyone want to weigh in on their post update GoW multiplayer experiences?

I hate the fact that in Annex kids can just let you bleed out for times of 40 seconds+. I would really love to see a suicide button, or something in that nature.

Newsflash: Glitchers suck.
All the arguments for pro-glitching is moot. You wanna glitch with friends and piss them off, fine. If you glitch with a bunch of people just trying to have a decent game, you suck.

I sometimes don't mind getting left down in Annex when it just has a 5 second bleed-out time but when it's over 10 secs, it gets ridiculous. I've been in matches when a whole team was downed and the bleed-out limit was over 30. If I see an enemy left down, I usually finish them off.
I'm upset that weapon sliding is still in but from what I've seen, most people can't pull it off.

Overall I am happy. A few things of course I would like to see fixed including:
1) Wall Sticking (worse than before)
2) Glitches (sliding on weapons etc.)
3) A fixed bleed out time of 5 or 10 seconds that the host cannot modify

Roadie Run isn't terrible if you use your left joystick to point where you're going. If you keep it steady, you're fine. If you point it toward cover though, you're Spider Man.
Love the improved Boom Shot.

I'm not sure I agree this was an Overall success. Annex is fun, but roadie running now is almost a waste of time! The wall-sticking is way worse. And am I the only one who feels the shotgun seems more powerful and has a longer range? And if it wasn't useless already, the Lancer seems weaker and you basically have to be right on top of some one to chainsaw them. How did these "fixes" get released? Overall the negatives outweigh the positives, making the game experience weaker. Disappointment for me.

dont know abt u guys but ive seen a decrease in how many times i get stuck while running. also anex is interesting and the current crop of maps available make the game mode real fun.
my 2 cents...

Me and my buddy fired up a around of Annex last night just so i could see what was going on before the i jumped in to a real game. Lancer seems much more powerful to me, i killed him in 2 seconds flat from atleast 15 yards away. Boomshot is great. Didn't have any wallsticking (major) problems. I did get quite a bit of lag though on several rounds, one to the point where i had to quit because it was just too annoying. I just hope these 4 new maps are gonna be very large scale. Thanks Epic!

i accidentaly glitched outa fuel depo in the same spot that everyone would glitch out. I hate glitching and i think it ruins a game, so i wasnt tryin to, but i went to climb up in the wharehouse when i fell, i was in nothing for a minute then it killed me.

I'm lucky if I can roadie run to sniper on canals without grabbing at least two walls.
Before I could make a clean run every time.
I think a lot of people use to run without pushing up to run, now it seems you have to.
But the explanation by epic that you have to push the opposite way to round a corner makes zero sense.
Maybe all these complainers had their sensitivity to medium and couldn't navigate to save their lives.

Nick-named the "Runner, Ducker, Shotgunner," I can honestly say that there's never a time that I'm NOT roadie running--and I've stuck to more things in the past two days than I have in the last 6 months of playing the game!
Weapon sliding was a God-send, and if you're used to people doing it, you can kill them all the same, so quit whining! Now the Chainsaw glitches are still horrific--and the running chainsaw glitch still works all the same... improved weapon power seems so much better, and Annex is refreshing in moderation.

IMPORTANT: I think this needs to be addressed immediately. In Annex, a "connection error" screen in which we all freeze, you know the one im talking about, well the timer still ticks for the team holding the capture point.
they get free points, while we're all frozen.

i hope my xbox isnt broken but whenever i play annex and theres alot of people around the framerate goes really low, and it stays that way for a couple of seconds.
for example: if i have 3 enemys jumping and circling around me the framerate goes really slow, they kill me and i respawn but its still slow for about 15 seconds even though theres no one around me.
sorry this is so long but im trying to get my point across.
