Having already enjoyed its PC debut, Command & Conqer 3: Tiberium Wars finally has a release date on the Xbox 360. C&C3 will arrive for the Xbox 360 on May 10th (not May 8th). Even better, Electronic Arts will release a demo of the game on Marketplace in the coming weeks. In celebration, EA has released a handful of new screen shots as well as the official box art for the game.
Command & Conquer 3 represents EA's second attempt to bring an authentic RTS experience to a home console. Naturally, this is a somewhat difficult process without the aid of a mouse and keyboard. EA's first attempt, Battle for Middle Earth II was decent, though not perfect. Here's hoping that Command & Conquer 3 finally delivers the ultimate RTS experience to console players. Hit the "read" link for new screens.
Anyone plan on picking this up?
[Thanks, lord hobo]

The demo is going be my turning point. A RTS on a console ... hmm, maybe ... love the original vein of C&C ... guess we'll see.

I have it on pc. It depends on the Demo really. If it works awesome with the controls, I'll buy it, when it goes on sale. lol $60 for a game that is $50 on pc? Seriously, how can EA explain that? It is a completely different game? I'll wait when I goes down to $50 or $45. I serious would rather have it on my 65inch, my pc is to bogged down by all the stuff running in the background.

I think I'll pick it up. I'm a huge pc gamer who is switching over to console gaming (my pc is showing its age, waiting for cablecard to upgrade). Now that I've mastered the controller for FPS games, it is time for something more challenging: RTS games.
It would be rather cool if they add build menu support for the IM keyboard addon. Plus maybe unit groupings etc.

I'll try the demo.. I need to see how the controls are before committing.. and even then I'm just going to GameFly it and if it's good I'll buy it from them for like $45.

I'm really enjoying CnC3 on PC. I got it for $38.99 at Fry's on release day. That being said, I'm curious to see the graphic performance on 360 and the control scheme. I wouldn't mind having it on 360, but like many others, I'm not sure if I want to drop another $60 on the same title.

Battle for Middle Earth worked pretty well and was great except for frame rate issues during the larger battles at the end of the game.
Will definitely be picking this one up.

As I really enjoyed BFMEII and am already a big fan of C&C, I will most definitely be picking this one up. I'm happy the demo will be out before hand to tide me over.
