Capcom's director of strategic planning Christian Svensson commented on their official forums to whether or not Dead Rising or Lost Planet would be appearing on the PS3 or Wii in the future. Bluntly put, it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Svensson says that both games are "not slated to appear on Wii or PS3 as far as current plans go" going on to say that he is "bound by NDAs on these matters so I can't divulge why this is the situation". We guess that with the Playstation 3 losing exclusives left and right, it's fair to question whether any of our previously thought Xbox 360 exclusives may be headed for multi-platform. But, in this case, we're happy to report that both Dead Rising and Lost Planet are pretty much locked up to stay 360 exclusives for the long haul.

Not that I think the Playstation fanbase is missing out on that much, I do believe that the PS3 could've seriously benefitted from getting these games, but only if they received them within the next few months.
I'm pretty much convinced that dead rising did as well as it did, because it was one of the few playable games when the 360 didn't quite have the library it does now.
oh well. at least they got oblivion finally

Once the PS3 install base looks a lot more inviting to Capcom (i.e. once more consoles are in people's households), then it's just a matter of time and money before Dead Rising and Lost Planet decides to jump ship.
Loyalties lie where money is easy to come by... and it seems MS has all the money at the moment.

Anyone who's convinced that Dead Rising did as well as it did for any reason other than it's really fun hasn't played it. It's not the greatest game ever and it has some "quirks" to put it nicely but it's a well made product. Plus it's not like people were tricked into buying it on hype alone because a demo did come out before the release of the game. Though I guess I'd concede that its release during a dry spell gave it some attention it otherwise would not have gotten, but at least the attention was deserved unlike a majority of launch (window) titles (for pretty much any system ever)
I don't doubt the sequels to both Dead Rising and Lost Planet (it's Capcom, it's basically a sure bet) will be multiplatform but it makes no fiscal sense to... wait a minute, if they had started porting these games immediately they might hit the PS3 during a similar "dry spell" and get attention in that way.
Whatever, I'm sure they have experts (probably smarter and more informed than me) paid to figure this stuff out and I'm not affected anyway (I'm on the Wii60 train) so long as the 360 gets Devil May Cry 4 I'm happy.

Both will go multiplatform. They're in the silence clause stage. It's just like Sony and Rockstar during the GTA3 games.

DR was great, except for saving. Would be insane as multiplayer coop.

Hey you can keep those. For that matter the only thing I'd miss out on if I didn't own both is Halo, but luckily thats not the case...

Shame, the PS3 could do with some decent games. Still, when they do eventually come to the PS3, the Xbox 360 world would have moved on from Dead Rising and Lost Planet. They pretty much have already!!
