In a surprise announcement earlier this week, it was revealed that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the classic arcade game, was heading to Xbox Live Arcade (we knew Aaron Greenberg was trying to tell us something). As promised, the game is now available for download. At the very reasonable price of 400 MS points, it's pretty hard to go wrong. For the older fanboys out there, TMNT pretty much represents a no-brainer proposition for Xbox Live Arcade. Now if we could just throw some Simpsons arcade on there, we'd be some super happy campers. We're downloading the game now and will be back with impressions later today.TMNT Arcade now available

Daryl, the game is great. My first impression of it is a good one. It's not the same as playing with an arcade stick, but its pretty close... flinging fire hydrant caps, parking meters and sewer tops at enemies brought back memories.... of better times....the 1980's

I downloaded it the second it became avaliable. Now if I could get with a good group of people I could finish the game.

I wish the HD menu was not as pixelated as the rest of the game.. If there was a smoother way of scaling this, I'd end up buying it.

I don't know if anyone's posted this yet somewhere else, but the secret achievement for TMNT is called "In The Dark" and is awarded for falling into a manhole five times. (For 0 points). Just figured I'd put it up.

Hi just wondering if anyone can confirm 4-player offline coop for this game? It's my main reason to get it. Thanks.

How does the XBOX Live co-op work? I don't want to end up like assault heroes or Contra with co-op that's all messed up and laggy. Anyone know? Thanks...

Now all they need to do is get the X-men arcade game. That was the best game ever.

I've played 4 co-op matches with 4 people each time and there was no lag. Very very smooth!
Great game!

I got this game the moment it hit, and I'm sold.
Super. Awsome.
As soon as I get off work I'll be hitting the Live multiplayer.
