The mod lovers over at Xbox-Scene discovered this tilt sensing mod for the Xbox 360 controller. Created with an accelerometer and some digital-to-analog wizardry, the controller functions in much the same way as the PS3 SIXAXIS controller. The tilt fuctions are mapped to the left analog stick, so tilt input will be limited to movement. Of course, all of this sounds great on paper, but most of us just want to see it in action. Lucky for us all, the mod's creator, Adam Thole, captured a video of the tilt controller in all its glory. Check it out after the break. For those that are interested in the controller, Thole is considering selling the mod itself, or completely modded controllers. If you don't want to wait for him to start mass production, you can bid for his original tilt controller on eBay (at $61 as of this posting).

i dont see why everyone is against this, the Wii and PS3 have motion controllers and they are able to hold that interactiveness over the 360, but if all systems had this then it levels the playing field in terms of the controller and hey it might be really fun for some games, but i would want an on/off function. i think this is a great idea, games are being coming more interactive all the time, the 360 could only benifit from a controller like this(as long as you can turn it on and off, the motion function that is).

you all say "No" but another added option so we have at least a choice to use it or not would be nice....

I have yet to be convinced that motion sensing is going to be 'the next big thing' in gaming. If a developer of a PS3 game can elevate the feature to be something more than a gimmick, and if Wii Developers can create something that's beyond the "it feels like I'm really brushing my teeth!" genre, than I'm in.
otherwise... I just.don't.care.

I remember trying to plug my Sidewinder Freestyle Pro into the 360's usb port. Didn't work, I took that as a sign that it was anti-motion sensing.

I actually get annoyed in Resistance when I have to shake my controller to get a...what the hell were those things called...uh....Chimera off me.
It's silly so far. I think the Wii will be the only console to effectively get away with using it regularly.

Does this work with the vibration on? Because if so that guy knows more about electronics than Sony.
