We love Gears of War glitches. Sure, there are plenty of people out there that love to just play Gears of War, but there is another group, a group that lives to glitch. We salute you. Last week, it was the break dancing glitch, and now we bring you the self-chainsaw glitch. Embedded after the break is a video of Locusts and COG soldiers eviscerating themselves and feeling no pain. Enjoy.
If you'd like to do this yourself, you need only read the description on the video's YouTube page. Now that you have seen this, go forth and find us more glitches. When you find these glitches, send them to us in tip form. As a reward, you shall see your name in shiny brackets and enjoy all the fame and recognition that comes with it.

theres a glitch where you can survive a chainsawing. Im still trying to work it out, but Ive done it at least 20 times now. Basically A guy chainsaws you, and after the animation is done your still alive and can shoot him in the face lol. There is also a glitch in fuel depot where you can get under the level. Its very easy to do but sorta hard to explain. Once under the level, bullets dont work at all and niether do meelle attacks to others under the level. However chainsaws work. You can also get back up once you did the glitch.

In a way, depsite it being a glitch, it almost makes sense. If you pick up a chainsaw thats on and spin it like they do when they pick up the weapons, your going to maul yourself to death but in this glitches case, it doesn't damage you and it just spews blood everywhere. Maybe they could almost turn it into a "feature" by if you do that, it would just kill you or something.
But in popular games like this, everyone loves to spot glitches. There was a ton in the original Halo and several in Halo 2 and there's a ton of glitches in Oblivion (with a game that huge in playable area, I am not surprised by that) and whatnot. Sometimes people like to have fun with these glitches or mess around with them.
I am sure this and the "break dance" glitch will both be fixed in the update their doing for this game.

Note to self: Don't play Gears online because it will suck with all these douchebags glitching.
I don't mind the breakdancing and stuff like that. But if you are glitching and getting chainsaw immunity and are going underneath levels to hide out that is cheating plain and simple and that's a quick way to ruin a game. I hope people will leave bad feedback and report the SOB's to MS when you see someone doing this.

The blood spatter effect is one of my favorite things about Gears. Cliffy and the other guys at Epic get IT. Putting in the over-the-top spatter dripping off the glass/lens is one of those grin inducing moments that I live for.

I've seen a glitch where I stuck someone with a grenade and then he blew up while he was chainsawing me. My guy was just standing there shaking like he was getting chainsawed, but the other guy was gone. Eventually the game let other players kill me and the match ended.
