RoboBlitz T-shirt contests: Day 3 [update 1]

The RoboBlitz contest train keeps a-rollin' along. Now, before we get started with today's contest, it's time to announce Friday's winner. And the winner of a women's large T-shirt is ... Jack Lukic for his Green Eggs and Ham inspired quote:

"Look a box,
inside is a fox!"

Congratulations, Jack. Now for today's contest. RoboBlitz has cool robots. We like robots. We're betting that you like robots, too. So, today we'd like you to make one. No, you don't actually have to build one -- this isn't BattleBots. Just leave a comment about your dream robot. Give it a name and describe what it does. The winner will receive a large men's RoboBlitz T-shirt. Also, we know some of you have been holding out for XL sizes. Well, fear not, for they are coming. We still have a men's and women's XL to give away. In the meantime, start dreaming up robots.

Update: This contest is now closed. Please click here to see the winner and enter the latest contest.

4. My robot's name is Clanky. He doesn't do much, just makes noise in the corner of the room. He's good for getting rid of people I don't want at my house, though.

5. My dream robot is called 360 Repair-bot.

It would be able to repair my dead Xbox 360 instantaneously, allowing me to enjoy Gears of War, Viva Pinata, and Tony Hawk Project 8 :(.

9. I would make one and call him C3PO, he's kind of a lame shade of gold and human shaped. also he's whiner and scared of everything, BUT he's good at human cyborg relations and is fluent in over six million forms of communication. That and also maybe one that looks like a garbage bin and only makes funny beeping noises.

10. My dream robot would be named Bitches.

So whenever I wanted some bitches I could just say "yo Bitches go get me some bitches" and bam hey would be right there.

11. My dream robot would be equipped with a gas-powered chainsaw, a GPS locator and could clock speeds in excess of 220 mph. I would then have my trusty robot standby while I played ranked matches in GoW, and the next time some group of guys stacked their team against me, I'd send my trusty robot out to find them and show them what being melee'd from behind really felt like.

Oh yeah. . .I'd attach an XBL Vision camera to my robot with wireless streaming so that I could show my friends through video chat just what my robot can do. Occasionally, if I were really bad, I'd send my robot out after some cheater, and just before the robot arrived, I'd ask the person about to be sawed if they'd like to enter into video chat. That way, the last few seconds of their miserable cheating existence could be spent seeing my robot come up behind them before. . .well, you don't want me to get into all the gory details, do you? :-)

12. My dream bot, Shirty, would be able to locate and retrieve specific shirts for me, thus alleiviating my need to enter contests for shirts.

....Also, he'd slice and dice fruits and vegetables. Just because every futuristic device needs that functionality built in.

13. My robot would be called Robo-Me. He would perform all of the mundane functions of my daily life allowing me to spend more time doing important things like reading about videogames, reading comics and watching movies instead of working, making poo, and spending time with my family (j/k on last two, I'll make my own poo, thank you very much).

Robo-Me would also perform my daily routine tasks at a quality level that far exceeds mine and will also do them so quickly that it would have plenty of time left over to win me Nobel Peace Prizes, cure a variety of diseases as well as end war and world poverty. Furthermore, the Robo-Me would in it's spare time create more exciting and immersive videogames and films as well as fetch me waters and treats.

Thank you Robo-Me, you're tops in my book.

20. My dream robot's name would be "Hey You."
Hey You would have three primary directives:

1) Talk to my wife about her day every evening.
2) Walk the dog three times a day.
3) Get me a beer from the fridge every 22.34 minutes starting once I walk in the door from work.
