The Datel Xport 360 showed up at Best Buy un-announced and caused some confusion with Datel's other data transfer solutions. Xbox-Scene has a forum post with details on the new device, which should let you back up your 360 hard drive with ease. Datel does come up with some decent stuff and I'd like to thank them for not bombarding us with a stream of press releases and viral ads. But it would help sales if they let people know when they have a new product.

Keef....It's for the PC not the 360. You unplug the hard drive and connect it to your PC, transfer the data, and connect the drive back to your 360.

For $40 its not too bad of a deal. Has anyone really tried this yet?
BTW, the reason there are 2 usb coards are some computers have low powered usb plugs, so 1 would not be enough to power it. Many external hard drives have 2 power coards just for this reason. For most computers, 1 will work fine, but others may have to use both.

The 2 USB connectors have nothing to do with power. One USB cord is for the harddrive connection, the other is for the memory card connection. They are completely independent of each other, so you can get by using just one connector at a time if you're short on USB ports.
I bought this about 2 weeks ago at Best Buy, and it seems to suit my needs. I was able to transfer my original Xbox gamesaves to it using Xbox Gamesaves Manager and Xplorer360.

I understand that this device lets one transfer their original Xbox gamesaves and whatnot to their 360. But does anyone know if one could transfer something such as an Xbox Live account from their original Xbox to their 360?
I know that one can migrate their account, but that will not suit my situation. I'm thinking of purchasing this so I wont have to buy another subscription card, even though they're nearly the same price.
