You got a fast car. Let's wreck it
People only watch car racing for the crashes. Lucky for us all, Forza 2 features vehicle damage, unlike some racers out there. This video also highlights the physics that go into Forza 2, from shocks to slipstreams. Now comes the inevitable pre-rendered/real time argument. Anyone care to take sides?

(Page 1)2. Even if the graphics won't be like that, I hope the realism when it comes to tire pressure and shocks is up to par with that video.
I can't wait!

3. Wow, looks great, I feel bad that I didn't play the first one.

4. I am waiting patiently for this game... please come out soon.
This video almost makes me want to power up my old PS2 to get some sim-racing in.
I wouldn't be surprised if Forza 2 looks as good as this video.

5. This is the same thing that every racing game since the first Gran Turismo has done- they simply show seens from a in-game replay. Just look at PGR3- most if not all commercials featured shots from replays, but the actual look wasn't that far off when playing the real game. (if you have an hd set of course)

6. When the original gran turismo came out it forced me to buy a playstation after years of holding out. After several refinements and a new console Gt4 was an excellent game. But then came Forza! Sufficed to say GT4 (and its ridculous wing store and tedious license tests) got shelved and never played again. It actually made you drive and not cheat your way thru laguna seca!Who cares about a swanky photo mode when you have damage modeling and physics and a controller with triggers for gas and brake. This game still holds up well after a few years later and I EAGERLY await some REAL footage as opposed to these cutesy teaser vids.
Man put up a beta demo on xbla! Me want Demo!
Dont miss out Walter its $19.99 and its backwards compatible.

7. If you haven't already heard, Assassins Creed is coming to Xbox 360 on day one (it's official). It even looks better than the PS3. Things are looking rather bleak for Sony, no?

8. I have to agree with jamie f, Forza was my true conversion point from gamer to xbox fan, if forza 2 can make the same impact on me it looks like i might have to turn all fanboyish

9. Guys, remember, Forza is using the PGR3 engine, and since they have had more time with it, I think that really is what forza could look like on 360, especially a 720p set.

10. Forza2 is not using the PGR3 engine. This is not ingame, but a prerendered trailer using in game assets to showcase the damage modeling that you can expect from the game. Next Thursday, Che from forzamotorsport.net should be releasing some screenshots of the actual game, and in the mean time, the magazines that got the shots first should be hitting stands..

11. Forza 2 is NOT using the PGR3 engine. The engine was developed in-house. What Forza 2 does do is incorporate the on-line viewing and broadcast features that PGR3 had. They did license that tech from Bizarre.

12. I think that the console is capable of delivering visuals of equivalent quality. Whether that quality will be present this Christmas or not...I'm sure that the Forza team will do their damndest to get there, and they're going to do a remarkable job.

13. Wow are you kidding me?? Do people still think this is in-game?? This is totally pre-rendered. Turn 10 devs have to stop pulling a Sony and show us some in-game footage damn it!!!!!!!

14. lol. Post number 1 made my day. I love my 360 as much as the next, but only an idiot would think this trailer is not pre-rendered.
Its night and day. Theres no way the game will look like that in game, nor would it on the ps3, or top of the line computer. Maybe xbox 720 can pull those graphics, but for the 360 era, just accept that the trailer was pre-rendered.

15. I think your mistaken...the 360 is not known for showing anything pre-rendered that isn't plainly obvious ( Fable 2 Promo Video at E3). This is clearly Real Time. Gran-Turismo just got bitch slapped. Can't wait to use the new racing wheel with this title.

16. This is real time replay screens, if it was pre-rendered it would have looked even better than that. It will look twice as good as pgr3, since everyone already knows it is rendering below 720p and upscaled and it still looks better the GTHD for PS3.

17. Looks great even if pre-rendered, but frankly i could give a flying f! GIVE ME THOSE PHYSICS, which Turismo claims but, frankly, doesnt deliver on.
Im pumped

18. I just hope we get an even more detailed car/physics model, not just prettier graphics. Lots of tuning in the old game would have been improved if the cars weight could be adjusted front to back for example. Sort of the virtual equivalent of putting a bag of sand in the trunk.

19. It's in-game - this is one of the first engines built exclusively for the 360, not a port of an existing engine. Along with the Halo 3, this game will be the first to show what the 'box can really do ;-)

20. ...one little giveaway that it's in-game/realtime is the faceting of the wheel-wells (choppy curvature). You can see it clearly as the car crosses the finish line in slo-mo. Pre-render would be smooth, of course.

1. Is the prerendered/ingame argument still worth a damn? People know what the 360 can do now and I think its pretty safe to say that this is in game.
