Watch some Enchanted Arms
So, Enchanted Arms came out a few days ago, but we thought we'd share this video anyway -- be thankful that the game allows you to opt for Japanese dialog. It's not exactly a secret that the 360 is no treasure trove of Japanese games (though Dead Rising might change that). As such, Enchanted Arms presents a rare opportunity for the monotonous random battle masochists out there (like me). If you need, need a JRPG fix, Enchanted Arms just might do it. Clearly, it's no Final Fantasy, but if you've got to have a hero with feathered hair (you just don't see it nowadays) Enchanted Arms is your only choice.
Anyone pick this up yet? Recommend it for die hard JRPG fans?

(Page 1)2. Well after reading Osiris beginning comments I almost wondered why I just ordered this. But then I got to the end of the post and I'm back to looking forward to it arriving.
Hopefully this title will do well and help continue to get other developers to give us some more RPGs for the Xbox 360.

3. Picked this up yesterday and after the first hour I was full of disappointment. Let's just say lack of sleep must have been affecting me, I put this in again earlier today and ended up spending eight hours solid on it without noticing the time flow by. A very interesting storyline and decent play mechanics, overall a good solid game even if it is a bit sparse on exploring so far, still has that grand adventure feel I have come to expect from JRPG and it looks like it will take many hours of play time to finish. The manga it comes with is pretty sweet too :)

4. "There is something that compells me to continue playing this despite the fact that it is too easy, too linear and too uncomplicated."
Don't worry. That'll change by around the 20 hour mark, when you start getting countered by enemies.

5. Its linear and easy just like everyone said, but Im still playing and probably will finish it. Nice graphic effects.
I guess I am about 8 hours into it. I am so glad that Makoto character doesnt stay with you the whole game. He almost made me not want to play the game. The lack of main female characters early in the game made me think the game designers were all...

6. I just picked up this game yesterday. At first it was quite annoying, "Oh really, I need to hit the A button to climb a ladder, well I sure am glad there was a tutorial section for that." After all that, however I am completely hooked on this game.
I am way happy to have a good JRPG after all these years. Hopefully this is only the start.
Has anyone put their team into battle online yet? Is it any fun, because I have seriously needed to do this since FFVII.

7. never got to play this, but is it just me or does this really sound like a trailer for a movie :)

8. Started playing it last night, along with some Saints and Dead Rising. The transvestite character is a terrible stereotype of flamboyant gay males. I encourage diversity in videogames, but it almost felt like the writers (or at least the people doing the English localization) were making fun of gay people. Of course the Xbox.com forums are full of homophobes on this issue and basically warning all their 12 year old friends not to buy it. Ugh.
Anyway, I'm enjoying just finally playing a JRPG on an Xbox console. The lack on the original Xbox kept me feeding the SquareEnix, Altus and Sony pocket. I can't wait for the games from Mistwalker Studios and hopefully this is a sign of goodness to come on the 360. The battle system is really quite interesting and I know the story and challenge are supposed to kick in around 20 hours, so I'm enjoying the simplicity while I can. Beautiful graphics, Nice soundtrack, good Epic feeling to the world. It is what it is, A JRPG on the 360, rare and welcome. If you like these types of games, this should make you happy. It's not the kind of game you fall in crazy love with, but it does fit with the comfort of your favorite sweater.
Can't wait to see more JRPG's on true HD scale.

9. I'm not a fan of the Phoenix Wright styled dialogue scenes. The room you're in is in the back ground, but you get to see a zoomed in version of your character in the foreground. It's like a comic book almost, and it leaves me feeling very removed from the story (if there is one). The style seems so impersonal and lame.
Final Fantasy has spoiled us for far too long.

10. Let's put it this way... Enchanted Arms does Tactical RPG wrong. Dead wrong. Dead Rising wrong. ;)

1. There is something that compells me to continue playing this despite the fact that it is too easy, too linear and too uncomplicated.
Freedom and customisability should be the main ingredient of an RPG imo, and this is sadly lacking.
It is a fun game, it does quench my RPG thirst and the graphics are DEFINITELY next gen, but the game isn't perfect.
I've played around 9 hours now and am enjoying the storyline, but have been waiting up till now for it to get more interesting. I'm hoping it will in the next 36 or so hours i have left of the game..
Don't be put off, this is definitely worth owning no matter what sort of RPG fan you are.
