Fans of androgynous vampires rejoice, 1UP reports that Castlevania: Symphony of the Night -- widely regarded as the best in the series, and frequently listed in various "greatest games of all time" lists -- is coming to Xbox Live Arcade. It is, unfortunately, the Playstation version which does not include the Saturn's bonus area. Still, this is incredible news for Castlevania fans and gamers everywhere -- enough to wash away the taste of the awful 3D Castlevanias perhaps? Oh, and Konami is planning quite a few more classics as well (Time Pilot, anyone?). Hit the read link for the whole story.

F**KIN' Sweet!!
Castlevania is my wife's favorite game. She's only played the ps2 versions. She was really bummed out that the Xbox Castlevania isn't on the BC list, but this will cheer her right up!

Hmm... I'd rather see Konami bring TMNT or The Simpsons to XBLA before Time Pilot, but to each his own.
And- this is kinda related to Konami- can we start a useless internet petition to send to Treasure begging them to bring some 6-player Guardian Heroes-Awesomeness to the Arcade? Who's with me? ;)

Konami owns Time Pilot lock, stock, and barrel. It doesn't have to dredge up some old licensing deal and pay royalties on a new port of the game. Thus their enthusiasm for porting games driven by media licenses is somewhat muted.
It's easier if they want to put an old Turtles game on the Wii's Virtual Library because that would use the existing binary and would fall under the existing agreement with the Turtles IP owners, eAstman and Laird, IIRC. Doing a new port for XBLA means negotiating a new contract. Big hassle factor for the amount of money to be made. XBLA is lucrative only if you keep your costs low.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is BY FAR the best Castlevania game EVER made for any system!!!
I know SEVEN different people who have been looking for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for the Playstation for a LONG TIME!!! This is going to be a high-selling game that is very popular on Xbox Live Arcade!!!
I have heard rumors from reliable sources that this game will probably be 800 Microsoft Points (Approximately $10), but it may even be as low as 400 points due to the high sales of games associated with a 400 point price tag. I read that the price will be determined by simple economics, mainly, if Street Fighter 2 sells well for 800 points, then there is a higher chance that Castlevania: Symphony of the Night will also sell for 800 Points.
I live in a small town where high-speed Internet access has only become available in the last year. I am very thankful for this. High-speed Internet access is available everywhere now!
I can't wait to play Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on Xbox Live Arcade.
Update: There are rumors on the Internet that say Konami is also going to put Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Arcade Game on Xbox Live Arcade.
This is an AWESOME time to be an Xbox 360 gamer!!!!
Response: I would also love to see Guardian Heroes on the Xbox Live Arcade. I would love to see Radiant Silvergun as well. Also, how do we know that Konami won't throw in the Saturn bons on Xbox Live arcade; we don't know that for sure. In fact, it goes without saying that there will probably be some type of extras in the game.
